MS SQL Server Plug-in bug

There's a bug in the MS SQL Server Plug-in that causes the connection to the server to fail when there's an "@" (at sign) present in the SQL password being used. An example would be the password "p@ssword".
I noticed in the fora that at least one other person has run into the same issue. When can we expect a fix for this?
