Web Downloads

Hi,

I created a web deployment and everything was works great as long as the computer has the application runtimes.

If needs one of the runtimes I get the error message in the picture.

The web media blocks all seem to have the right path as I can download them using the url.

The machine downloading has it firewall turned off and I do not think it is a security problem as the it will install if it has the required runtimes. It fails on the visual c++ 8.0 runtimes.

Any suggestions to rectify this?

Thanks

Robert,

check your paths again please. Almost all problems are caused by this.

Is your web server a Unix/Linux machine? Then have a look at upper or lower case paths.

I am using IIS and the paths are correct as I can paste the url into a browser and the file will download.

Any other thoughts?

Sometimes cleaning the IE cache helps.
But most often the paths/URLs are the problem.
