Has anyone managed to get either the MS SQL Server plugin or the Alternate Server Plugin to work on Vista.
I have had these working on XP previously but cannot get working with Vista.
I have tried connecting to various servers and instances but no joy. Is there anything that specifically has to be done with Vista.

System Details are:
- Windows Firewall is off
- Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio 9.00.3042.00
- Microsoft Analysis Services Client Tools 2005.090.3042.00
- Microsoft Data Access Components (MDAC) 6.0.6000.16386
(vista_rtm.061101-2205)
- Microsoft MSXML 3.0 4.0 5.0 6.0
- Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0.50727.1318
- Operating System 6.0.6000
- Installaware v7.0 (build lonepine_rtm.071107)

cheers

If anyone is interested this was due to running Installaware in debug mode.

It appears in debug mode that IA can only connect to :
- SQL 2000 when running on XP-SP2/WinServer2003-SP1
- Niether SQL 2000 or 2005 when running on Vista.

Turn off debug mode and everything runs correctly.

I should also state that it runs correctly only for the Alternate SQL Server Pligin, I still have issues with the MS SQL Server Plugin.
