InstallAware

I'm currently facing the same problem as described in this thread http://www.installaware.com/forum/viewt ... light=difx.

I use Difx to install and uninstall drivers in my setup. Unfortunately if i try to uninstall the program using the or Add/Remove Programs utility the setup prompts for the original installation media.

I tried adding an [OFFLINE CONTENT] section before the Difx calls as suggested in the above mentioned thread but to no avail.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I am not sure what might be wrong. Why don't you attached a simple sample project showing what you are doing? We'll five it a look.

i've attached a sample project. The setup always asks for the original media during uninstall.

Does anybody have an idea what the problem may be? In the meantime i did take a look at the driver sample project that comes with InstallAware which shows the same behaviour i.e. it can't be uninstalled via the control panel add/remove programs because the original media source is requested.

DId you ever get a good solution for this issue?

The solution for this issue is to check the Always Cache Setup Sources check-box in the Project Options window.
