Uninstall changes WMI access permissions?

I've had several customers uninstall my software, then reinstall it. Once they reinstall, my program won't run (I check for Physical Ram using a call to WMI - read only mode, my program never writes to WMI or the registry) - the errors are:
Win32_Processor: Win32: Access is denied
Win32_OperatingSystem: Win32: Access is denied
Before the user installs the program, these permissions are allowed, after uninstalling the application, they now are denied.
Before running the installer, I took a snapshot of the registry, then again after installation and found quite a few registry changes had occurred - does InstallAware change registry settings regarding WMI permissions?
