Hello,

Hope somebody can help me with this.

On installation i would like the user to be able to browse to a specific location instead of C:\\Program Files. This new location needs then to be set within the odbc datasource attributes

DBQ=C:\\Program Files\\xxx\\yyydb.mdb
FIL=MS Access
UID=

thankyou for looking

regards

lance

Have you tried using the variable $TARGETDIR$ this si the variable that get populated when the user chose which directory they would like to install it. So in the case of c:\\Program Files\\Application $TARGETDIR$ would = c:\\Program Files\\Application. This is what my company uses for our registry keys so I would imagine it would work the same with ODBC.I hope this helps.
