Is it possible to write the value of a variable that you have gathered from the user interface and write it to the registry ?

I have only been able to get it to write a hard coded value so far.

Of course. Just have it write a variable!

I have tried that - it writes the variable name rather than the variable data !

Was the variable declared as one and properly dereferenced?

Variable was declared and during debug contained the correct data. As to dereferenced, I couldnt tell you !

This is really frustrating. It should be pretty simple to do this !!

And the 'help' doesnt help at all !

How are you dereferencing the variable? Are you saying $VARIABLE$ in the field or just VARIABLE?

Could you paste some code from your script so we can understand what you're doing?
