Hi GreenPrint,

Take a look at the help file, topic "Pre-Defined Variables"
ii) on the title pane of the dialog comes the "InstallAware Wizard" when we run the trial setup, can it be removed?
Sorry, this is not customizable. While companies like InstallShield enforce their branding all over the place in dialogs, the only place we ever do that is the title bar.

IA comes with a "Call DLL Function" Plug-in. All you need to do is make sure the dll is in the local system when calling its function. You can install it, and it will be uninstall by the uninstall engine.

In this newer thread:
http://www.installaware.com/forum/viewt ... g+branding

I could read:
This is not overridable without becoming an InstallAware Technology Partner.
Is it still not possible to remove the branding "InstallAware" in the dialog title without becoming a technology partner. How can we get a tech partner?

The branding may be removed when you become a technology partner. Here is the URL:

www.installaware.com/techpartner.asp

Please note that the technology partner program is NOT intended as a way for you to remove branding (although that is a nice freebie you get). It is intended as a program that makes you a true InstallAware technology partner.

The summary description is provided at the ordering page:

Provides priority access to pre-release InstallAware beta's, as well as a 2 year subscription for InstallAware Studio Admin with floating license.

Essentially, this is our version of an MSDN Subscription. The description does not explicitly mention it, but all InstallAware products are included in the offering at premium support and maintenance levels:

* A 2 year maintenance full license for InstallAware Studio Admin with a floating license and gold support already costs $7,586.

* ThinAware will retail for $4,999 (without maintenance, support, and floating options) and that is also included in the program.

* WiXAware costs $799 annually (again, just plain license).

* Setup Squeezer for InstallShield and Setup Squeezer for Windows Installer cost $299 each (they are not frequently updated).

So just the monetary value of the program well exceeds $14,995 when you do the math for two years subscription, support, and floating licenses. In addition, you get access to pre-release copies of all the above InstallAware products, including multiple beta and release candidate builds during new version releases.

As a bonus, you do get to remove the InstallAware text, this is our way of saying "thank-you" for supporting InstallAware products. Again, we are not charging you the partnership program fee to remove this text.
