Stop and delete Win Service via Control Service

During uninstall, I want to stop and remove a Win Service. I used:
Control Service MyServicename: stop and delete on uninstall [wait for completion]
Apply Uninstall (get result into variable SUCCESS)
This doesn't do the job. So at the end of uninstall, there is dangling orphan service left behind -- the service is still there but its .exe and supporting bits are removed.
Why Control Service doesn't work? or I did something incorrectly?
