a Problem with the Variable language

I created an multi-lingual Setup and want to write the language chosen in the setup to a configuration file within a "targetdir" subfolder.
I am using the edit File plugin, found somewhere in this forum to change the language entry within that file.
My problem is, that the "if" i use is not handled properly.
I have used a variable watch, as well as an Message box to print me the variable, they both read it as German(if chosen in the language selection box), however it still moves on to edit the file making it an english install.
I have even put an "Set Variable LANGUAGE to German" right in front of the if part, it is still executed.
Any ideas?

Code: Select all
if Variable LANGUAGE not Equals German
Comment: Sprache in Datei einstellen
EditFile [...]
end
