Reading target folder from registry

Hello.

I'm pretty new and though I'm sure this is a simple question I didn't want to waste valuable demo time pondering this too much. :)

In a previous installer I let the user choose the installation folder and then write that data to the registry.

How can I, in a completely different installer, access the registry, read that file and use the path written in it as the target path for my new installer?

I'm using InstallAware Developer 7, demo version.

Thank you,
Zohar Gilboa

Read the path from registry with the read registry command and set variable TARGETDIR to that path. Also make sure to disallow the user to select the installation path.

There is no way to check if a specific KEY in the registry is there ? You can only check for a whole Registry-Folder, but not for a specific key :O the Read Registry and Check Registry-Dialog even adds a \\ at the end of the Command... That's really bad!
