InstallAware

I've just upgraded to 7.9 and recompiled a web-install project in order to make it work on IIS7 on vista and win2K8.

It works on vista, the websites are found and the app-pools created ok.
( even though I have to 'manually' set the pool props...)

On Win2K8 however the installer fails to retrieve the web site(s) ( using 'Get IIS Site List' ) Nothing is retrieved...same problem as for the previous IA version in Vista it seems.

As the OS is 64 bit the installation mode is set to 'Native 64 bit Windows'

Environment:
Win2008 x64
IIS 7
IA 7.9

All comments and input are highly appreciated.

Is IIS7 on Win2K8 tested and supported at all?
Please help me with this, it getting pretty damn urgent.

Try 7.9.2...the initial release had a problem with Vista SP1 and 2008.

Well...

I tried to find the version of the installed IA....and failed totally...
Where %¤¤#%¤%¤% can I find the version? The only version stamping I do find was "InstallAware 7 Release 2 (Build mueren_r2.020408)" and that didn't tell me anything.
So what to do? I uninstalled the whole package and downloaded a new one, and hey - there it was - the only reference to 7.9.2 I could find - next to the download link. After the (re)installation I checked the version again and wasn't really surprised when it still stated "InstallAware 7 Release 2 (Build mueren_r2.020408)". Is that 7.9.2? I have no idea what so ever.

I then recompiled my project - uploaded the resulting exe to my Win2K8 box, kept my fingers (and toes) crossed and launched the package.
I waited for my special-purpose-messagebox-listing-all-web-sites anticipating a list of sites...and there were - nothing.
Nothing retrived from IIS7 / Win2K8 Enterprise - x64 bit at all...

So...what to do? Any ideas out there? Because I'm getting a tiny bit frustrated...an image of the environment is attached...

I'm using IA9(Build Moya.sp1.070409) and, as I have posted on this topic, I'm having a similar problem.
