Patch fails againt \"Only for me (current user)\" install

I have a project with a Compressed Web-based exe setup and a patch to the next version. When testing with an "all user" install, everything works perfectly. But when I choose "Only for me (current user)" the initial install works fine, but the patch fails. When I set the patch to not run silently, the dialog "Please locate your original setup sources ..." appears. The source is available and I can manually located it, but that's not something my users could be expected to do. If I cancel the dialog, the patch finishes. The patch is not installed, but the subsequent attempts to update do not find any updates. The installer seems to think the patch was applied.

When the update is run silently, there is no indication at all that the patch failed. The program is not updated, but subsequent attempts to update do not find any updates.

Am I doing something wrong? As is, I can't use patches at all and have to deliver full updates. I have two actual projects with this problem and created a third test setup to verify this behavior.

After working in this case some time, and thanks to JBuechler we found out the cause of this happening.

JBuechler was placing an output file name for the main installer and a different output file name for the patch.

To avoid this, do not specify different output file names, instead, rename your exe files after building the main installer and the patch.

Thanks again to JBuechler.

I do have the same problem like JBuechler.
I'm using Version 6 Express, delievered with Delphi 2007. I did all corrections- like described- but with no success?

Is there a reference project for this ?
