Installaware Not Updating Path

Installawre is not updating the enviornment path during it's session. The path does not get updated until after the current installaware session has ended.

This is a major problem that we are having with installaware. We install SQL Server 2005 Express it does not prompt for a restart as it should not need one. But if we try and run a batch file that is calling SQLCMD it will not run because the environment variable path has not been updated to show the install of SQL Server 2005 Express, and we can not use installawares built in SQL Script runner because it will not create an out put log which need for debugging porpouses so we have to use the batch file.

I have brought this up to Installaware before and was wondering what the status of it is?

I still can not believe that there has been no answer on this. This is the problem that i have with installaware you make a greate product but your live suport is never online and you don't monitor this message board enough.

Not updating the path to me seems like a server problem. This would not be so back if you allowed output to a variable for your SQL script runner but you do not.

They have a ticket system for their usual support. The forum is only watched when there is spare time i guess.
