Scripts Created using mAutoWeb.dll can't access variables

I have a need to create some scripts using the automation interface into IA which is working just fine. I create my scripts, include them in a "main" script and whenever any of the scripts attempts to access any variables created in the main or other scripts, an error is produced "Runtime error is setup script: Line xxxx: Attempting to get value of undefined variable VARIABLENAME. I know that some of the scripts that come with IA out of the box do this so I'm confused as to what I might be doing wrong.
Here's a sample of a portion of the script that I copied as text from IA:

if Variable SELECTED_HELP Equals (Ignore Case) True
Install Files C:\\NavigatorRT\\helpProductPDF\\*.* to $TARGETDIR$\\Help, include subfolders
end

All the scripts compile just fine. In this case, SELECTED_HELP is set to true or false in the main install script based on a user's selection during a personalize install.

Any help would be appreciated since there isn't much information about mAutoWeb.dll.

I resolved the problem myself
