Get System Setting Language

In my InstallAware project, i have to install a Windows hotfix based on the language of the operating system. To determine the language i use the Get System Setting Language function.
Unfortunately there is no documentation available for the return value of this function. I get an 8 digit number. But i need to distigiush/recognize the different German versions (Austria, Germany, Switzerland etc.) of the OS.
