Hello, I'm using IA 6.6 and I encounter a strange problem when I want to Update ProductA with a new Setup release.

I explain the situation:
ProductA is installed on client computer (ProductCode=9D055A47-7660-402D-87C8-58AFECAC27E0)
productB is installed on client computer (ProductCode=E6EDE99A-A1AF-46B2-BFFC-4BF661AB1DBF)

I build a new Setup including new ProductA v2.

1_when I run it, an dialog asks me for the ProductB.msi. :( and stops.
2_If I re-run the Setup, the Update is done correctly. :o
3_I try to re-run the setup and the same dialog occurs. :? and stops.
4_I run again the setup, and Update is done correctly :?:
5_ Not OK
6_ OK
7_ Not OK
....

So I run it two other times with /l switch and I analyse the two log files.
Here is what I found:
In the log file 1 (with dialog box) there are those lines:

Code: Select all

I don't know why this PruductCode appears here !

I'm sorry if my explications are not clear.
I don't know if you understand my problem.

Nobody knows why the findRelatedproduct MSI method find a relation between my two products ?

I don't understand that behaviour.

Where am I wrong ?

Please help me.

Maybe I found the solution.

I set "Upgrades Product Code" field to the current Product code value.

It seems to work.

I have to say I'm a little bit disapointed because nobody helps me. I guess you are busy.
