IA 8 - \"Replace String\" doesnt work anymore

Upgraded to IA8 some time ago...and found that "Replace String" has stopped working. It doesn't replace NEWLINE with [nothing] as it should (and did in IA7). Its used in my case for replacing NEWLINE when retrieving web sites...

Code:
Set Variable TMP to AAA$NEWLINE$BBB$NEWLINE$CCC
Write into Text File $LOG_FILE$ from Value TMP before: '$TMP$' (at end of file)
Replace $NEWLINE$ with ; in variable TMP
Write into Text File $LOG_FILE$ from Value TMP after: '$TMP$' (at end of file)
Output:
TMP before: 'AAA
BBB
CCC'
TMP after: 'AAA
BBB
CCC'
It worked fine in previus version.

Are you also experiencing other abnormalities in string parsing functions such as Parse String? Please let me know so I can escalate them as well as part of the same ticket.
