When the check box on the last installation dialog to start the application is selected nothing happens. Where is this path set? My application EXE is copied to
$PROGRAMFILES$\\some folder\\ap name
Is this the right place for that?
What is $TARGETDIR$ used for? Can't find a reference in the help index

TARGETDIR is probably the most important pre-defined variable.

TARGETDIR: Initial value set to <Program>\\Application Title, using the name of the product being installed as the application title.

When the user chooses a different directory in the "destination" dialog, the value of $TARGETDIR$ is changed.

Usually you would use $TARGETDIR$ in your "install files" commands. But it should also work with the value you described.

With Installaware studio, you can define a custom action for the execution of the program at the end.

I think I remember having heard, that with the express version there is a special checkbox in the "run program" command to tell it to run at the end.
