blank password

I am writing a install that connects to a sql server database.
I basically copied the example into my project.
My users may have thier security setup as:
Server Auth
User: sa
Password: (blank)
( Yes I know this is not very secure, but that is beside the point )
The sqlinstance dialog would not allow me to continue without a password so I removed the check.
But the sql server script command does not connect without it.
Do i need to do additional stuff for a blank password or is this even supported?
