Hi wblee,

how long did you wait for it to complete?
It takes a while to install that SQL Server. On some virtual test machines it took half an hour. Some users reported it to hang, but I'm pretty sure, they were not patient enough.

Hi,

I had the same problem and I found that SQL server creates a temp folder (maximum two temp folders) on drive c. If for any reason you stopped installation, that folder(s) may not be removed. I'm sure you'll find it easily. Remove it and try installation again.

It may be helpful if you find Microsoft SQL Server folder in C:\\Program files and completely remove SQL folder.
