InstallAware 8 Issues

I have an issue with the new version of InstallAware. I have a script that was written in version 7, and it installs a service. This service is set to be dependent on a SQL Server instance service, which runs under the name of MSSQL$SQLEXPRESS. This compiles just fine in InstallAware 7, but when I try to open the script in version 8, it fails on that line. If I remove the dependency, it compiles just fine, and if I set it to be dependent on some other service, it compiles fine as well. I assume the new version doesn't like the dollar sign in the name. Is this a bug in the new version?

When you say fail, can you elaborate a little more?

Sure. The Build Progress window displays this message:

Error during build: Unable to compile MSI action install service

The build then stops.
