start an external program

We need to start external setups from the local setup device.
I used RUN PROGRAM, Install/Remove MSI-package and the internal commands for installing SQL Server, .Net Framework etc. too. I got a very large setup which is not useful. Is'nt there any command that starts an additional program from the setup-CD? I would like zu work with an IA script as a dispatcher to start some Microsoft setups and my own IA setups too.
