attempt to reboot failed

Has anyone ever seen this?

After running a repair operations, sometimes the automatic reboot fails. When the repair finishes, I check the "Reboot computer now" check box and click Finish. The computer doesn't restart. In the computer's System Event Log, I see a warning entry that says, "The attempt to reboot COMPUTERNAME failed. For more information, see Help and Support Center..."

I realize this probably isn't an InstallAware-specific problem, but maybe someone here has run into this and found out a way to prevent it.

Thanks!

I discovered that my program sometimes gets into a state where you cannot reboot the computer unless you kill my program. We haven't figured out why our app is blocking the reboot, but have worked around it in IA by simply killing the process before calling Reboot Now. It solves it from an installer standpoint. Unfortunately, I'm the main developer for the app, too, and haven't figured out why it's blocking reboots. :)

Another possibility is to try and force a reboot by running the shutdown command using the Run... statement. I've never known any system to survive it.
