all files same filedate after patch

One of my customers installed a patch, all files have been updated. However, after installing the patch, all files of the product have the same filedate- and time. The date and time when the patch was executed. Our application has some checks on filedate so this is a problem for us. Does anyone one what can cause this? Regads, René Caspers
