What does \"Written Variable Value\" do?

I've got a progress bar on a dialog. If I select the Object Behavior tab the Receives Information dropdown has an item called [Written Variable Value].

What does that mean?

I'm happy with the Writes Values to Variable text box but I can't find [Written Variable Value] described in the IA help documentation.

Anyone know?

The same variable that the object is writing to it is receiving it's info from.

ie. I've got a text box which writes it's content to DATABASEFOLDER, it also Receives Information from DATABASEFOLDER.

DATABASEFOLDER is set to C:\\Databases by default, which is the value that is pre-filled into the text box.

That's quite clear now, thanks. I figured it was something like that but the wording caught me on the wrong foot. It's been one of those days.

Styx,

I can confirm that it does work exactly as you suggested. I wired it up a to textbox and the effect was as expected. Data flowed in both directions to the variable.
