I have addtional msi files tied to my installer that are set to launch sometime during the installation process. I would like to be able to detect if these extra programs are already installed on a user's computer before they are launched and if they are to skip execution of the addtional msi files. What is the best way to determine if these addtional programs already present on a user's computer through InstallAware?

You can look at how this is done using the uninstall code that is generated as part of most InstallAware setups. Look at the functions Is MSI Setup Installed and (Un)Install MSI Setup.
