.png files

Is it possible to use .png files in the dialog editor and if so how?

I tried the image related controls and the only file types I can find are: bmp, ico, emf, wmf, and jpg. I find myself using png more and more in other applications but I don't know if IA supports it. Maybe there is some smoke-and-mirror tricks you can do. Otherwise, I'd open the png in an editor (I use SnagIT) and then save them into one of the supported formats?
