Directx 9 and 10 Scanning and installation

I noticed that on the application runtime as far as DirectX option goes wise there is only Directx 9b.

Is there an updated listing for the most recent DirectX 9.0c (XP) and DirectX 10 (Vista) so that the installer scans the computer for the most recent 9.0 if its OS is XP or the most recent 10.0 if its OS is Vista?

I have looked on your download section and cannot find what im looking for. Is there some software that I am missing or I didnt update?

Our game client (CryEngine2) same as Crytek. Requires that your OS have the latest DirectX driver/info for it to work.

If you need any further information, please feel free to let me know and I will provide that asap. Thanks

We last support DX9b because DX9c is not better-compressible (DX9b was) and therefore you can just run the native DX9c installer from Microsoft.

About DX10, rather surprised to hear you ask about it as a game company! There is no redist for DX10.

Michael,

Yea I realized that when I spoke with my boss about this. I found out that they want the 9.0c not DX10. That was my mistake. Good thing you said that because I was instructed to get the latest update runtime which I assumed was DX10. Boy would I have been in trouble if I put that on our installer. Thanks for the heads up on that.
