One of our clients has used our installer and gets this error message:
Completing the InstallAware Wizard for Blue Mars Installer

The InstallAware Wizard for Blue Mars Installer has failed: "The Windows Installer Service could not be accessed. This can occur if you are running Windows in safe mode, or if the Windows Installer is not correctly installed. Contact your support personnel for assisstance". Please check your settings and try again.

To close this wizard, click Finish.

The computer isn't in safe mode and I'm not sure what it means by "Windows Installer is not correctly installed." The computer is running Windows XP.
So far from the other clients I have given access to the installer to, There have been no similar problems reported. Everyone else seems to have no problem with the install.

Any ideas or something that I missed?

I think the message is pretty clear? InstallAware, being a Windows Installer tool, requires the MSI engine and service. If that has been corrupted, it needs to be repaired or re-installed. You can try instructing the customers to install a version of Windows Installer from Microsoft, if that doesn't help, they will need to fix their computer, possibly with assistance from Microsoft technical support.

Alright sounds good.

I did a search of the forums and found that other people were getting this error and it was due to either permissions or from making a build in debug mode. Which wasn't the case for this one.

I will instruct the customer to try and install a version of the windows installer from microsoft.

Thanks for the help michael as usual.
