Replacing files, used by basic Windows services

Hello again to everybody!
I want to replace some files in the Windows System32 directory (e.g.: msvcp60.exe), which are used by some basic Windows services (lsass.exe, svchost.exe, service.exe). As far as I know these files have to be replaced very early in the booting process in the course of a reboot. If i try to install the files in an ordinary way, an error message appears, which says that the files are in use. Afterwards "apply install" delivers no "REBOOT" value.
Is there any possibility in InstallAware to implement these files into the start routine?
Thank you for deliberating on my question!

Does Windows Installer complain that these are system files and cannot be overwritten by MSI? If so, there is nothing any Windows Installer tool can do to help you. Of course, InstallAware is very versatile, so you could write your own plug-in for this, or even call the Win32 API from your script to effect the overwrites.

No, not really. It complains to upgrade my operating system in order to overwrite this files. Afterwards "apply install" delivers no "Reboot" Value.

That explains it. Windows Installer will never overwrite system files. You will need to run a system update tool to update such files. Microsoft publishes such "service pack" type system update tools which you will want to add to your setups.
