How can you remove old plug-ins that were left over from 6.6 release (we upgraded to 9 recently)?

If you did a full install of version 9, all those plug-ins will have been upgraded. I don't see why you might need to manually remove plug-ins, but you can read the help file section on plug-in authoring to discover how plug-ins are registered with InstallAware, and consequently, where to find them/remove them/etc.

Thanks.

We had a plug-in called .NET Framework that I think was used to detect which .NET framework was installed. Now, there is no corresponding folder for this under the Installaware Plug-ins folder, hence the question.

dotNET Framework Runtime\\mDotNet.dll

Does this plug-in still exist? Has it been replaced?

Yes, it exists. You might have not installed it in your latest upgrade, just add-remove features to your existing installation.
