Setup fails when IA5 project is built with a new IA version

The setup fails at "Apply Install" without a meaningful error message when the IA5 project is built with a newer IA version.
There was a post with an explanation and a simple solution, but I cannot find this post anymore.
Can anybody give the solution or the link to the previous post.
