Adding a list of files

I have a list of 100+ files I would like to add to a given folder.
In fact, I have multiple lists like this, carefully converted from an old IS project.
I could edit the .mia file directly, but generating a new GUID and putting it in the correct place would be tiresome.
I tried right-clicking in the Files view and select "Add New Files..." but the common file open dialog has a very limited edit box (I can add about four files at a time).
I can add an entire directory, but in a directory containing 300 files, I typically need "only" 100.
So... How do I best add multiple files?

Use wildcards, exclusion filters; or add all 100 files separately using the visual file browser in the GUI portion of the IDE.

I want to add 550 files...
May I suggest you add a feature to a future version that allows the user to supply a long list of files?

You already can! Just use the visual portion of the IDE, highlight each file...

Michael,
I have a list of 550 files. They reside in various directories containing (at least) three times as many files.
You are suggesting that I should hilight each and every one of these files? This is not the way I'd like to play "The hunt for Red October".
If I use the Open File dialog, at least I can tell it to add ten or so files. Which saves me some time (compared to hilighting...), but it is still a painful process.
Another thing I miss: Check for duplicates! I can easily add the same file twice (or thrice) if I am not careful!
Oh... CTRL+A?!? In nearly all Windows apps, this is "Select All". The About box rarely (if ever!) needs a shortcut key of its own.
I wanted to CTRL+A select the files I had added, so I could use properties or something to check the count. If the count matched what I had in my existing installer project, I would know I was on the right track.
But I can find no obvious way of counting these files (after having manually selected them the old-school way).
One more time: I have taken the XML from InstallShield, applied several macros to it in UltraEdit, and coughed up a comma-delimited list of which files go where. I hope you understand what my problem is.
Because the manual process of adding these files is taking so long, I ran out of time. So converting from IS has been postponed by my boss. Please help make this process a bit more efficient for me next time I try.

Hmm, no reply.
Is this because my suggestion was not understood, or because you guys do not feel this is important?
To me it is a very basic problem.
I have a list of 500+ files I want to add.
dir1\\file1.ext
.
.
.
dir1\\file10.ext
dir1\\file12.ext
.
.
.
dir1\\file90.ext
dir2\\fileAA.ext
.
.
.
dir2\\fileXW.ext
dir2\\fileZZ.ext
and so on.
Last time, I tried adding the filenames through the Open dialog box, but I was limited to only a handful filenames.
I also thought about editing the install script directly, but the references back and forth made that seem like a daunting task.
_Please_ add this feature.

I'm interested in discussing this feature request further -- can you contact me off board?
