Installaware 8 Studio - Projects updating eachother

I have a serious problem. I have two IA8 projects, one is a single user version of an application, the other is an Enterprise version. Both are very heavilly scripted so that a large number of background installations steps are automated...or at least they were.

The single user version was wrtten first, and then saved under a new name to make the base for the enterprise version.

The enterprise version was then enhanced with the added complications of the enterprise scenario, and removal/replacement of a large number of automated steps with strategies more appropriate for an enterprise situation.

Except that, even though the two projects occupy different directories and have different windows, both seem to now share a common script. Worse the single user script has been destroyed/replaced by the enterprise script.

I realise what is happening - the script is not held in the project but somewhere centrally. The project view (I assume) is built from the script, so the file locations are now those of the enterprise view.

The Enterprise project is essentially perfect except that it's script carries the name of the single user version.

The Single User project is essentially screwed as it has the screens of the single user project (named differently) and the script and file structure of the enterprise project.

This has cost about 14 days of intense scripting - so I am seriously unamused.

It calls into question the point of allowing 'save as' if the newly named project is going to share the same script as the original project...but I am not going to go there since I do not want this to degenerate into a slanging match about design principles.

I need to fix this urgently, so I can be happy again. Firstly I need to find where the script file is held and/or have a way to rename the script from say the Enterprise version so that the single user and enterprise versions no longer share a common script, and the enterprise script carries a non-confusing name.

Fortunately, I can probably hack the enterprise script back to the single user version reasonably quickly, because, by an absolute fluke I decided to treat enterprise IT staff as if they were single users and preserve most of the underlying automation - so I really just need to remove some of the enduser decisions for the single user version.

So - what is the best way to do this without destroying both projects? I was thinking if I could find where the script is actually held I could rename it - but then I also need a way to tell the project to use the renamed script as it's main script....

Any ideas?

Ok. I have found an .mia file in the single user project, that when I view it in a text editor, clearly has the script in it. That makes sense.

So my guess is I can go to the Enterprise project create a new script with a new name, copy content of the single user script into the new script and save it with the enterprise project...BUT i need to be able to disconnect the enterprise project from the single user script (held in the single user project folder) and attach the enterprise project to the new script so that it sees the new script as it's main script.

How can I do this? I can not find where the project holds the name of the script that runs it. It clearly isn't the project name, because my enterprise project, that otherwise works correctly, has the single user project script (with the single user project name and in the single user project directory) as it's main script.

Help please...
