Server 2008 UAC elevation

In attempting to install my application on a 2008 server, I encountered a 2008 UAC elevation issue and had to disable UAC in order to install our software package.
I know that InstallAware supports Vista UAC elevation (Get System Settings > Capability=Vista UAC Elevation), but I don't see any such setting for Windows Server 2008.
Has anyone else encountered this issue?
Does InstallAware have any plans to be adding a 'Get System Settings > Capability=2008 UAC Elevation' selection?

The UAC check will enforce the presence of UAC. You can wrap it in a conditional If clause in MSIcode thus achieving the effect you have indicated you desire in your post.

Thanks Michael,
Just to confirm my understanding...
so the 'Capability=Vista UAC Elevation' is not Vista specific, it will work for both Vista and 2008?
If this is the case, then I guess we can consider 'Capability=Vista UAC Elevation' really also means 'Capability=UAC Elevation' ?

Hi there.
I'm in some serious trouble while trying to run my IA-generated installer on Windows 2008 and Windows 7 environments. This mainly occurs because of some Run Program statements inside my MSICode, which are used to call the self-registration routine from one of our product's services (product_service.exe /install). I have also tried to use the Run Program As command, but nothing changed.
Since I'm new to this UAC thing, I would like to know what is the recommended MPR/MSICode procedure used to install a Windows Service in Windows 2008 under UAC.
Thank you very much.

Are you running on 32 bit or 64 bit ?

At this very moment, I'm testing my installer in a Windows 7 Enterprise 32 bit virtual machine environment.

Thanks in advance.
