on some systems, primarily on XP.
Program has vista requires UAC elevation and elevation to admin in general.
No other info other than a small popup with 'error'.
Problem is with the 'all users' install with permissions

Even if the installer is an admin on that machine, for some reason it won't let the program be installed 'for all users'. It works fine for a specific user. Is there a setting in the install setup that controls this?

The only popups that contain a simple string such as that are in the pre-reqs, when we get an invalid error string back from a 3rd party installer ....
Can you please provide more information, such as InstallAware Version, type of setup, and even possibly a sample project?
additional info

install aware 9 installing a project created in Delphi 2009.
Win32 strictly; It copies files from the existing HDD structure to build the setup (standard setup) with some customized dialogs (colors & pictures).
Setup is fairly vanilla - the only other stuff I do is to copy out a bunch of .pdf files and a few directories with some support files.
I do run the app at the end of the install, but that doesn't appear to be the problem since it's not getting that far (files aren't there yet). It's pretty clear it just doesn't want to start because it doesn't think a machine admin has rights to install on another user's account, so it has to be some setting in the install.

Would you be willing to submit your InstallAware project so we can investigate?
If you give me a private email I can send the script

I am not comfortable posting it to a public forum.

You do not need to post your project in public -- use our support system (which is actually the main way to receive official support with specific bugs).
When I go to 'support' I see Support Community

That is labelled 'Community' so also appears to be public.
I saw another place to buy a series of support incidents but that also appeared to be in the 'Community' area.
I can submit the data via email from some contacts I have via the sales channel if that's easier.
Are there any new bug fixed versions that I can try just to see if it's some sort of bug?
I have a very similar (but actually more complex) install that doesn't appear to have this problem - in fact I cloned all the dialogs from that and edited them.
Any word on the project I sent in?

I sent in the whole project via the official support site.
Do you see any reason this would fail to install for 'all users' on some machines (xp sp3 was one) with the underlying error 'you don't have rights to install' even though I'm an admin on that machine?
I am getting the final bits for Windows 7 and will be testing on that also going forward (I was using the last RC for testing for it).
Target platforms should be xp-32 bit, vista 32 and 64 bit, windows 7 at least 64 bit (don't know if anyone here cares about Windows 7 32 bit at this point).
We can require at least 'run as admin' and/or have an admin sign in during the install.
