Hello,

Im evaluating the Installaware studio admin. based on the web info the product is doing exactly what I need but testing it result with different behavior.
I have .NET application for which Im trying to define client profile 3.5 SP1 as pre requisite and to install it over the web.
I have created the script with the studio admin and uploaded the web media blocks to their location.
When Im trying to install on computer with .NET 3.5 SP1 nothing other than my application should be downloaded and installed. The problem is that I'm getting the following error message –
"Microsoft 2.0 client cannot be installed alongside .NET Framework full edition"

Why Installaware tries to install it?
As prerequisite I expected that if the scripts finds that I have already .NET 3.5 it will go directly to install my application.

Do I need to write this bootstrapping script manually? isnt it the pre-requisite build-in logic of the product?

That is strange, it sounds like something is wrong in your script.

Would it be possible for you to email your project (complete project please) to me at [email protected] (please reference this thread!).

Dear Sir, I`m facing the same problem and I would like to know if there was any kind of progress. Error message is the same like in Edos case only framework is not 2.0 but 2.0 SP2. If it will help you we are facing this trouble on Vista 32bit Bussiness and Win 2003 32bit Enterprise. Both installed on Virtual PC and both had previously installed MS SQL 2008 Express. Now system is clean. Nothing is installed but I`m still getting the same message. We are not your customer yet but we are now trying to select best installation solution for us and so far this is the only trouble we have with InstallAware but unfortunatelly it is big trouble for us. Do you have any kind of suggestion please? Thank you...
