When I try to install a patch, I got an error message.
The file 'Extend7e17cExtendedMath.' cannot be installed because the file cannot be found in cabinet file 'PCW_CAB_6704E980'. This could...
I searched this forum and found some similar threads but no any solutions.

In my situation, I noticed the file name in the message box has a small difference compare to the file which included in the cabinet file.

The original source file name is ExtendedMath.dll
The file which is included in the cabinet file is Extend7e17cExtendedMath
The file name in the message box is Extend7e17cExtendedMath.

Please note there is a DOT at the end of the file name in the message box.

Can this be a clue to help IA guys to find any solution?

It's urgent. Please! please!

My client doesn't want to put product information in public. Can I send the log file directly to you by e-mail? Or you have other way to get the log file?

I made a test installer. It only install 4 text files. All these text files have similar name as "ExtendedMath.txt". Make a patch for it and run. I can easily reproduce the "file not found" issue. And when I check the log file, it's very clear the generated file key name has a DOT at the end. If you open your patch package and check the files you included in the cabinet, you will see the files' name don't have that DOT.

It's so clear that there is no file can match your key. Please find the reason asap. Please. The attached is the log file. You can quickly make a small installer like it and easily reproduce it !!!!!

If it's possible give me a solution to rename the files that included in the cabinet before you find the final solution?

Hello! Any progress? Have you reproduced the issue?
Why there is no any reply?
If you reproduced, please let me know. At least I can know you are working on it.
If you need more info, I even can send the test project to you. (I don't think it's difficult to reproduce it.)

Btw, did you get the log file? Does the "Attach File" work correctly?
