Programmable Silent Uninstall

Is it possible to activate a silent uninstall from a program? I'm new at this, but I'm assuming that you'd have to do something like:
- On installation, save the location of the uninstall system somewhere (perhaps a registry key?).
- From the program, get the registry data and then activate the uninstallation.

I am assuming that the installation package must get saved somewhere: or is the installation/uninstallation data just saved to the MSI database (if the latter, it would imply that the installer service needs to be called)?

Thanks,

JB

Best bet is to search the ARP registry keys to identify the correct uninstall string to fire, the execute it to the silent parameter (see the help file for details).

Should do the trick :)

Dear neillans,

I presume you mean the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\\Software\\Microsoft\\Windows\\CurrentVersion\\Uninstall keys?

If so, thanks - I'll give it a whirl.
