InstallAware

Good morning to everybody..
I need to know if is possible to send a mail using InstallAware.

If yes, do you know a way for to check if the mail address inserted, is valid?

I'm a bit rusty but I think the way you could do it is to write a .Net application that takes the data you want to use as parameters and use that on the Mail namespace objects. You could include the application as a support file in your project and then run it using MSIcode at the appropriate point. You'd need to take into account that not all machines will have the same framework you built it on but most Windows machines have framework 2.0 installed so opt for that. AFAIK, there is no plugin available for emailing so I suspect you must hand-roll your own .Net application. I'm sure someone else whose knowledge is fresher than mine may have a better answer.
