When I try to run my installation program which is supposed to download the .NET 2.0 framework from our website when needed, I keep getting the following error message.

Code: Select all

Retry extraction?
Extraction of installation data downloaded from the web has failed. What would you like to do?

* Download a fresh copy of the installation data.
* Try to extract the existing download data again.

It doesn't matter which option I choose, I keep getting this error.

Nevermind. I found the problem. In case anyone wants to know the solution:

I use IIS 7 and needed to add a MIME type for the .7zip extension. I found that I needed to set this to: application/octet-stream
