Insufficient privileges while installing IA 9 R2 Prof.

Hi, I tried to install the developer version (web). I used the following parameters:

Version: Developer
Installpath: C:\Program Files\InstallAware\InstallAware 9 R2
Backup downloaded files: D:\Software\InstallAware\InstllAware9R2
During install I get this error message:

Error

The installer has insufficient privileges to access this directory:
C:\Users\Harbring\AppData\Local\Microsoft\VisualStudio\10.0\Extensions\InstallAware Software Corporation. The installation cannot continue. Log in as administrator or contact your system administrator.

This error has nothing to do with insufficient privileges, since I can do anything in this folder as a standard user. The only thing which is ‘special’ is that I use a hard-link from ‘C:\Users’ to ‘D:\Benutzer’. No software has ever complained about this, so I’m not sure if this is really the reason for this error.

What can I do now?

The MSI service is apparently having a hard time writing to that folder. Log the setup to see if you can obtain detailed information.

exactly the same issue here after upgrading from IA 9 to IA9 R2.

The installer has insufficient privileges to access directory: C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\...

Does anyone know of a fix or do we need to revert back to IA 9 ?

moved all "Create Shortcut..." commands to end of [OFFLINE CONTENT] and now all is fine.

I think you are talking about a different issue, but I am glad you were able to fix it!
