Who is responsible for the progress text

I was told a false status text, who is responsible? My understanding is Windows Installer relays these progress messages natively, but I cannot imagine that Windows is to blame. See attached image.

Translation:
File: Copying new files, Directory:, Size:
So, is it that the directory and dimensione should have data supplied to them, so that it should look like:
File: Copia dei nwovi file in corso, directory: <directoryname/path>, dimensione: <size>
or should something else be displayed altogether?
Are you seeing this in Italian environments only or have you tried this install in other languages?

It just looks quite strange. I think <directoryname/path> and <size> is missing. Until now I only saw this on italian systems.

InstallAware acquires the data from the MSI engine.

Could you verify whether you intend your installation to appear in Italian?

Yes that it appears in italian is correct, but our italian associate partner told us that the text is not correct and he would like to translate it. But since the text is not part of our localization texts I asked who is responsible for the text. So if Microsoft is to blame this thread can be closed

Yes, it is fundamentally MS who is responsible, as InstallAware is essentially acting as a middle-man for that data. You might not want to hold out for a MS fix and while we might not be able to do anything about it soon, I have filed a feature request for IA to "intelligently" mask any known MSI output issues like this, including to make the masks optional and ideally configurable by users like you in a similar way to IA's ability to extend run-time support.
