Silent install as LocalSystem fails for some reason. Here's an excerpt from the setup log:
  • MSI (s) (80:AC) [13:58:25:860]: Executing op: FolderCreate(Folder=C:\Program Files\MyApp,Foreign=0,)
    MSI (s) (80:AC) [13:58:25:860]: Executing op: FolderCreate(Folder=C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\MyApp,Foreign=0,)
    MSI (s) (80:AC) [13:58:25:860]: Executing op: FolderCreate(Folder=C:\Temp\myapp.exe\,Foreign=0,)
    MSI (s) (80:AC) [13:58:25:860]: Note: 1: 1312 2: C:\Temp\myapp.exe
Error 1312. Cannot create the directory 'C:\Temp\myapp.exe'. A file with this name already exists. Please rename or remove the file and click retry, or click Cancel to exit.
MSI (s) (80:AC) [13:58:25:960]: Product: MyApp -- Error 1312. Cannot create the directory 'C:\Temp\myapp.exe'. A file with this name already exists. Please rename or remove the file and click retry, or click Cancel to exit.

Action ended 13:58:25: InstallExecute. Return value 3.
"myapp.exe" is the main setup executable. Setup is started with this command:

C:\Temp\myapp.exe /s /l=C:\Temp\setuplog.txt

Why is setup trying to create a folder with the same name as the setup executable and how can I fix this?

Thanks you,
Anders

Can you isolate the code that produces this?
