When the InstallAware function to do the ICE Checks is called, are Merged Modules included in the projekt validated as well?

If not, any idea how to validate Merge Modules?

If your project builds with merge module(s) included, it implies that they are valid.

Sorry, but we think that ICE Checks doesn't implie validation of included merge module(s), at least not very well:

1. We created a new .NET project.
2. We included a merge module (third party merge module), run ICE Checks with no warnings/errors on that.
3. We run ICE validation with ORCA, several warnings/errors on that!

Actually we had an Error 2753 (see http://www.installaware.com/forum/viewt ... f=2&t=5084) within our setup and first of all we didn't find out why (because InstallAwre ICE Checks brought no warnings/errors). During further investigation we find out that the reason for was the third party merge module; without including them the setup didn't fail on Error 2753.

We think the InstallAware ICE Checks are inaccurate ...

Could you supply the merge module and any other relevant info that would help reproduce this?

Sorry, we're not allowed from the third party company.
