Error when installing selected Features

Hi,
I have a project that contains two major components\feature (client and server components). Both component contains the same executable file. The executable file must be installed\copied to the target directory when each component is selected. But when I try to unselected the server component, select the client component and continue with the installation of an error occurred. The error is states that the file (the executable file) I am trying to install is missing. The location of the file is in the temporary folder that the installer created (I refer to the value of predefined variable "EXEDIR") inside the folder for the server components which was not created coz i did not select the server component. Here are the other details:
Build type: Web-Based
Cache Set Up Sources: True\Checked
Also am using Load Feature Selection Plugin
I attached the project so you can see what am I missing.
Regrads

The project you attached seems to be for a different project. The features don't seem to tie in with what you described. Did you upload the correct one? I could try and replicate a similar project but it's better to try and use the one you're having difficulty with.

Hi,
Consider the feature B as the client component, feature C as the server component and the text files as the common file to be installed both in server and client side.
Also it will also be great if you can provide me with the project that you have done to fix or recreate my problem.
Regards

To be honest, I've never used the Save and Load Feature Selections plug-ins before so I need to look at those. Unfortunately, I don't spend as much time on the right-hand side of the IDE as I should.
Anyway, I've cobbled together a baseline project (attached) using the vanilla-flavoured feature usage. That is, there are no fancy adornments. I don't think it's what you're after but could you try it all the same if only to demonstrate grass-root usage? I'm sure it will work but not necessarily replicating what you're trying to do. It'll give me a little time to look at those curious plug-ins and see what they do. Hopefully, I'll update later once I've had a chance to try it out.
EDIT #1: I forgot to mention that my sample project installs the common file in the independent feature and has separate features to install the client and server specific files. In other words: nothing that would shake a tree.
EDIT #2: I tried a quick experiment with the Load and Save Feature Selections plug-ins. So far, they seem to work as described in the help documentation. My sample project doesn't have that MSIcode in it.

The attached project shows my use of the save and load features plug-in. Try as I might, I can't get it to fail so maybe you could try it on your machine. To be sure, I've not enabled the caching option and web build that you used but as a simple project it does work on my machine.
In the project folder you'll see four text files called File_...txt. As I remarked earlier, one file is installed independently of the others and the client and server features install a file specific to each one. I've also used a default selection state file which is included in the support directory node. I further assume that the project can write to a local folder C:\Temp which is where the feature file is saved. So, if the saved state does not exist it uses the support directory as the source of the default state. Later on in the installation the state of the selected features is saved. When run again, it'll find that file and will then set the features accordingly. In summary, I can't replicate any failures to either find or install any files. That's the best I can up with at this time.
