I found a problem developing a project that now give me trouble during testing.

This install project have worked perfectly with out problems, but seems that I have done something (But I am not able to find what and where is the cause) and now,
once successfully installed on a test machine, it does not complete uninstall anymore and stop executing with error. The error text should be in English (the project is translated in Italian):
"Action is valid only for the products actually installed. Please verify user settings and privileges, then try again." . Really I do not understood what this is refered to and, I repeat, have worked perfectly until now.
Of course, I running the setup.exe as administrator and the test target OS is Win XP pro sp3.
The project has been compiled with InstalAware 10.3 on Win 7 ultimate 64 PC.

I have also produced a verbose log for the unistall and you will find it attached.

Please help me, suggestion are welcome ... so thanks in advance.

Regards

Dear FrancescoT,

It sounds like your product is no longer installed - are you sure it is?
Does this happen on other machines?

Thanks

Hi Aviv,

I found what causes the problem. By a mistake I used a wrong sequence of the "NATIVE_ENGINE" variable assigment.

During the setup logic, I call a script in the region "[DEFINE REGION: Perform First Time or Maintenance Installation]" (before Apply Install), that contains a call to "Set Variable NATIVE_ENGINE to TRUE", but instead to assign it to FALSE when done, I have assigned again to TRUE.

So was a stupid error caused by a wrong copy and past sequence inside the script .... sorry!

Many thanks for your reply.
Regards.
