Build Error on Empty Folder

I am evaluating InstallAware moving from Wise Installer

We have a number of folders in our application. Depending on the customer. The folders are often empty. We use a compiler variable to tell the compiler what folder we want to include in the build. If the folder happens to be empty - by design - we get a build error. Wise did not have this problem. How do we resolve this short of placing dummy files in the folder which would confuse the end user.

Error during build: No files matching pattern "D:\_CFV5\Generic\forms\*.miner"
You need to have a setting telling the compiler that it is OK for the folder to be empty.

Also Wise installer would allow you to rename a file as it was installed. Your compiler will not allow this. Problem!

Thanks!

Dear Al,

Have you considered using compiler variables in order to specify whether a folder has content? In other words, move your part of the code that installs the files in "D:\_CFV5\Generic\forms\*.miner" to be inside an If Compiler Variable command. Does that help at all?
