Missing buttons with Official theme dialogs

Using the latest InstallAware version (10.10), any new installation I create with the Official theme dialogs (which is the default) is unusable. When run, the installation displays the Welcome dialog without any buttons at the bottom, so the installation is effectively frozen. The only option is to kill it with the Task Manager. I am building the installations on Windows 7 (64 bit), and have tested running them on that platform (both run from the IDE and outside of it), and on Windows XP. It makes no difference...no buttons.

If I switch to pretty much any other dialog theme, the dialogs work correctly. Then switching back to the Official theme, they are broken again.

Has anyone else experienced this behaviour? To me it looks like the latest build somehow broke the Official theme dialogs!

Dear Chris,

I have been using 10.10 and the Official themed dialogs and had no problems at all. Hence, I am guessing that this has something to do with your system. Did you try re-installing InstallAware?

I have run the Repair re-install, without any improvement in behaviour. I'm now going to try a full uninstall/install. I'll report the results.

I have just done the following:

Uninstall
Install, accepting all defaults (minimal, install directory, etc)
Create Quick Start project and Build
Run

The result is the same; no buttons on the Welcome dialog.

Chris,

I can confirm that my off-the-shelf Official theme also works and switching back and forth from one to another also works ok.

I've attached a copy of my 10.10 Official theme. Do you want to look at my installed copy and see if there are any differences-cum-corruptions to what's installed on your system? To be sure, I can see no reason why your other themes would work but not the Official one. I was wondering what would happen if you copied just the Welcome dialog files from my attached file on top of yours?

Anyway, it might give you something to look at in the absence of a smarter suggestion than mine. :)

Peter,

Thanks for your suggestion, your Official theme is the same as mine.

Anyway, I have now resolved the issue. For the record, I needed to re-boot Windows, and then reinstall. Somehow things had got themselves into quite a mess.

Dear Chris,

Happy you were able to figure this out. Windows can be strange like that sometimes :)
